Dewalt Laser Level DWO88K

I decided to upgrade my old Laser level which is a Stanley one which TBH has served me well and is still going strong but I saw a tiler using the Dewalt and I had my head turned.

Kind of a mini review of the Stanley is its great as a vertical and horizontal laser for papering etc but the only thing it is short of is the clamp or mount is not the best it tends to move occasionally the beam does fade after a certain point more so if left on the floor so marking high up can be problematic...

Hello all, I’m a painter and decorator of 10 years, mostly self taught. Started off as a painter in shop fitting before going to work along side someone else doing mostly domestic work. Being self taught, over the years when coming across any new problem I’ve spent a lot of times on forums like these willing to take on as much wisdom and knowledge as possible. Always looking to learn anything new and pass on any tips I can to anyone else

Hi there ;)

Purdy Power Lock!

Anyone have one of these?

Having lots of issues with it!

1. The power lock is pants it is not strong enough keeps pushing in which is well useful NOT.
2. The quick release does not work well have to wobble roller Purdy rollers to get them off really hard work.
3. Not really compatible with older Purdy Frames.

Perhaps it is just me but I am really disappointed I called Purdy who didn't want to know said to return it to where I brought it and their response was as if I was making it up!...

After the recent Interstellar thread by Puma, I though a film and TV thread would be useful.

I personally love a decent film, and find some of my friends' recommendations absolutely shocking.

Hopefully you lot will have better taste

Graco Contractor Gun PC

I promised myself I would not buy anything new at the back end of last year.
I went to the P&D in November and looked at the Graco Contractor Gun PC on the @SpraymanUK stand and I broke my own promise.
So so so weak but it's just so shiney and blue !

I've been using the regular guns as most do that are supplied with your pumps (4 finger guns) and I suffered 2 things : Hand/forearm fatigue not to...

Hi guys, not been on in a long while, apologies! So I recently got a Graco Gx21, I’m happy with it as I don’t use it loads but wanted some advice.
1. Do I need to change the in gun filter when using different tips?
2. Where’s the best place to get tips? I do like the FFLP tips.

Cottage cheese paint.

Hi chaps.
I did a favour job this afternoon for a neighbour and I painted his ceiling with some white acrylic eggshell he already had , when he came home he said when he'd got it out of the shed it was a bit like cottage cheese but it stirred up ok.
It did seem to go on ok and I'd have been none the wiser if he hadn't told me but now I'm worried the frost had got to it and it'll end up flaking and splitting .
Do you think if I give it a coat of zinsser peel stop then a couple of coats of...

Can I ask who has hit the MyPaintbrush logo this year and made a purchase from them whilst still on their site from the logo click/tap?

You had to have clicked their logo in the PPS Sponsor/Affiliate Strip and then made your purchase.

Use the poll for your answer, no reply post to me needed unless you wish to, but your comment will not necessarily be looked at if you haven't used the Poll above. Just to clear that up

Accordion to a recent study, 7 out of 10 people don't notice when a word in a sentence is replaced by a musical instrument.

Thought I would see what all the fuss is about!

Well I have to say what a cracking brush, been using the 3" in emulsion and the others in Scuffx, Highhide and varnish they clean up spotlessly no bristle loss and very nice to use especially being a rats tail handle.

I think they are my new favourite brush and they was on offer £18 for all 3 bit of a bargain!

Just wondering if anyone has this system and how they are getting on with it I know its been out about 3 years and I am interested to hear how the battery holds up including run times etc.

The one bit of Festool kit not to let me down is my RTS and its also the most used so very interested about upgrading to the new version if its any good?

Thankyou in advance :doff:
