It's a bit off topic but hopefully some of you maybe knowledgeable.......my bathroom has old painted floorboards which are solid but a bit uneven here and there. I want to lay some Victorian style vinyl tiles but I think I would need a sub floor over the floorboards first. As usual with the 'net' you get overloaded with different methods. Some say self levelling compounds, others say plywood but with varying recommendations of thickness 3mm, 8mm or 12mm. Or is marine ply a better option?...
