Got this to paint in the next few weeks, no decision yet on colour or sheen but I’m expecting dark blue in Matt or eggshell. I’ll definitely be using Ben Moore but unsure weather to go Advance or other. I’m a big user of advance and do like it a lot but open to suggestions.
Thanks in advance (no pun intended )
Who fancies one of these Morris JE vans?
Sean Wilkinson just tagged PPS in on a tweet asking.
I think is flippin’ brilliant and would love one. Being a firm lover of old vehicles and their styling!
Picked these up the other day and used one to paint a artex lid above high cupboards the PolyMicro I have never seen a nap like it as it feels very synthetic but it really doesn't clump up it stays loose and holds alot of paint, out of interest I did a test on a area of flat wall expecting it to leave a horrendous stipple and it was quite the opposite.
This is a job I've done many times before but this was the second time I've had to deal with varnished bannisters. Last time I sprayed Zinsser Bin but it clogged up my machine frequently. It's too expensive kit for doing that! I bought some spray cans as advised.
I thought I may as well roll and brush the Fossa copy on first and quickly then thought I'd try a spindle, they're the very detailed round type. It actually rolled on really fast and of course it sticks so well I could put it on...
Picked up a free festool sanding block from pad show. It's good although a bit rough. Gets in the corners of mouldings. What foam blocks do members use? Found many I've tried to be useless.

Next on my wanted list is a ventilation fan, been looking at the Powerstar models, any reviews of this make or other recommendations please from those that own/use one
I have a cheap hvlp but if it dies I would be tempted with this
Turns out you can buy this on UK amazon under different name
Reviews on amazon for what is really a bit of a toy are good. See America amazon here but for wb primer or BIN it maybe useful, or small spray project....
I have a bathroom where 2 walls feel like a oil is on the surface and even after sugar soaping a couple of times and zinsser its still coming back any ideas?
My minds saying try wiping it down with meths, any idea gang.
Hi everybody..... the other day 5 of us were chatting on a PM and Bitzz’s break in came into the frame and of course met with the expected derision. What transpired was , “Let’s stop gassing and do something for him” Being the b good bloke he is , it was an immediate yes of course. Misty was one of us and gave us PPS bank details. I think most are in , a good start
I suggested we open it to the forum of course. Tim told me xxxtimes how to .... dunce cap on... I couldn’t get it... twerp no1...
Trying something different to sandwiches, so I take £5 ASDA food flask. Fill up ¾ full (350ml ISH) with hot water about 12pm and pour in packet. Put lid on then eat around 12.45pm when I'm ready to stop. Guess you could take hot water in flask.I love pasta or noddles and rice. Under 200 calories
I iz gotten fat bxxxxx over christmas so been doing this for a couple of weeks. Much more filling than sandwiches. The cake the lady supplied on job last week never helped but will...
I know this is a topic talked about alot but why do we have 1.75 and 1.5 inch diameter sleeves?
Also is their any real advantage using one over the another.
I do use both but I am kind of tempted to ditch the 1.75 as some fit standard frames and others are so tight but I have moved back to using a 9" Hamilton double armed frame for this reason a bit torn as I buy alot of Hamilton sleeves as they are very cheap and easier to get hold of but I have to say I prefer to use 1.5 inch ones.
