Gardz & contract matt mix

i remember reading a thread before (I can't find it now I need too!!) in which someone said they mixed contract matt and gardz. Well I've just stripped 3 layers of paper off and although there are some odd spots of paint underneath it's mostly old bare plaster. I've washed down with water and Dif, sanded and filled. Tomorrow (Wednesday) I want to seal the walls ready for the new paper but I'd like to add a bit of colour to even out the patchy shades of the walls.
