Drying times?

Hi All,

I'm 'new' remember so be kind (haha)

I normally paint 'Eggshell' on woodwork (oil based) Last weeks client said that she was told by carpet fitters she had to wait 2 weeks after I left to let skirts dry ??? Really?
This I've heard a few times now.
I know I paint and get the hell outta Dodge, but I always tell peeps to wait 2 days and all will be fine.
Am I wrong?
Are the carpet fitters being OTT?
